Christian Bale

Christian Bale had a huge start to his career as the role of the kid from Empire of the Sun. He then grew up a few years and appeared in the family favorite Swing Kids. However, Christian Bale did not become 'the shit' until American Psycho.

Christian Bale's portrayal of Patrick Bateman in American Psycho was nothing short of psychotic and excellent. This movie also allows Bale to show off his body structure for the ladies.

Christian Bale then had a few notable appearances that included Shaft and Captain Corelli's Mandolin. While these films were not all that good, Bale played great roles in both.

Christian Bale's big year was that of 2002. He co-starred with Matthew McConaughey in Reign of Fire, a film that allowed Bale to show his acting skills with a beard. Sure the film was not good, but again Bale performed well.

However, the big film of 2002 that made Bale a top five actor was the under-rated film Equilibrium. Watching Christian Bale play the role of Cleric John Preston as he gives up taking his dose and learn to accept 'feelings' was nothing short of fantastic. And, to top it off, Bale kicks ass in this movie.

Christian Bale recently caught hollywood's attention by dropping one-third his body weight, sixty pounds, in order to star in the dark thriller The Machinist. Fortunately for us, Bale was able to put that weight back on to play the role of Bruce Wayne in the film Batman Begins.
