Default The Lost Article- Me So Horny!

Attention all of our readers,

I have been chuckling for the last two days straight thanks to all of the emails I have received calling Fred and I racists. Seriously, I am heavily entertained.

For the record, Fred had nothing to do with the "Me So Lost" subcaption, that was my responsibility as editor. So, here are some of my favorites:

This is from somebody that may work for a company that handles "Satori Massage Chair":

"Yunjin Kim Says Me So Lost"?
You can kiss my ass, you racist piece of shit. Do you know exactly what negative and racist imagery you conjure up? No, I suspect you don't. You're just another fat white guy who probably doesn't give a fuck because you're ethnocentric and lazy. On par with Rosie O' Donnell. Up yours.

A couple were like this. And I have never considered myself overweight.

Now, these people obviously didn't leave a return email address for a chance to respond. Keep things onesided, I get it.

We then received this email from John:

I'm writing you regarding the title of your article on 'LOST's Yun Jin Kim. I'm specifically reffering to the heading "Me So Lost".
I understand that you probably meant no harm by this heading.
But it is clear that this heading is a reference to both the film "Full Metal Jacket" and/or the rap song with the line "Me so Horny". This line is uttered by a Vietnamese prostitute with broken English.
I found such an reference to be inapropriate, in poor taste, and even racist.
Just because Yun Jin Kim is an Asian woman, you found it necessary to associate her with a Prostitute.
Yun Jin Kim is Korean. Not Vietnamese. Yes, there is a difference.
She is not a prostitute.
And she speaks perfect English.
You know this. Yet, in using the aforementioned heading, you make reference to one of the worst prevalent Asian stereotypes.
Again, I doubt you intentionally tried to conjure up such a negative stereotype. But it was done non the less. Please consider revising the article heading, and try to be more aware of what you write.
Thank you for your time.

After receiving this email I changed the subcaption so it no longer read "Me So Lost." Issue cleared, problem solved.

But idiots do exist in the world, and, though we changed the article early yesterday, somebody must have caught wind of it, didn't read it, and sent this along:

wow, me so lost...and it\'s about an asian character. how cleaver. i mean, that\'s just so witty. who would have thought of THAT? my god, where do you find these cleaver writers? i think someone in the HR department deserves a raise. you took something that was made famous in a movie back in the 80s(also was used in a rap song as well), and took that catch phrase to headline an article about a female asian character on TV. where do you guys come up with this stuff...it\'s gold, i tell ya, gold! while you are at it, do you have any chin chunk, can\'t drive, small dick and happy ending jokes you\'d like to share with the readers? no, trust me, in no way does that make you see ignorant, lame or racist, not at all. keep up the good work and let those fresh, witty and funny jokes flow.

This person obviously didn't leave a return address as well. Correct, however, that I do deserve a raise.

Again, I have removed the Me So Lost, as it does appear to spark hate with the racially sensitive.

I will go on to note that I am not a racist.

Thanks to John for clearing up the issue and the rest of you for the easy laughs.
