I love the early Eastman and Laird Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles comics. They were in black and white and had a more artsy/seriousness to them. Elements of the early comics shows in the first movie but then they got too goofy and lost their appeal. I haven't seen the new CGI movie but it looks too cartoonish.
