First Spider-Man 3, now Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer
I was expecting this movie to be good as the first Fantastic Four and I was utterly disappointed just like Spider-Man 3. I will start with the humor in this movie. Half way in the film I was wondering is this supposed to be a comic book movie or a dry comedy, a majority of the jokes weren't that funny. I guess the jokes were aimed at younger audiences but I wasn't impressed. The acting wasn't that great either, I didn't feel emotionally tied into the characters. Take for instances when Dr. Doom throw a spear like object at the Silver Surfer and Invisible Women tried to stop it with her bubble shield then gets impaled, well "that's what she gets." Like I said "I was not emotionally involved with these characters" and what's up with Sue Richards'(Jessica Alba) eyes I didn't find her attractive in this movie. I was very pissed with the appearance of Galactus, I didn't think the movie company was crazy enough to leave out a great character like Galactus. Peter Jackson could make a 40 ft King Kong but they couldn't make a appropriate sized Galactus. Maybe they could have saved Galactus for a Avengers, Fantastic Four mash up. The only characters great in this so called movie was Dr. Doom and Silver Surfer which was voiced great by Laurence Fishburne. I'd advise people to save their money and buy a Fantastic Four comic book if you want to see what the Fantastic Four team is capable of.
