Default The one book you'd like to see as a movie

What is a book you'd like to see as a movie? In my opinion - I think Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six would make a GREAT action thriller movie.

Also - "Bringing down the House" would be great, and would cash in on the entire Poker / Gambling craze that's going on now.

For those that don't know, Rainbow Six is the story of an Elite special operations military team (similar to swat, but way higher in the food chain).

Bringing Down the House is the story of the M.I.T. card counting team that took Las Vegas for millions of dollars through a unique math system with Black Jack.

Yes, Rainbow Six would be good.

I would personally like Hollywood to take another shot at both Timeline and Sphere (both from Crichton) and get them right this town.

The story for both is so well done that all it would take is a big-budget production to make these great.

One of my TA's in college was friends with the guys of Bringing Down the House.

He said Vegas is sweet when you go with them.

Ender's Game.

In fact I think they are already making a movie about it. But this book is one of my all-time favorites and deserves to be a movie. Anyone who hasn't it read it should.

The books I wanted to see adapted into movies, again I suppose, were the Chronicles of Narnia. Now that the first one was done to great success I am pretty happy. I can't wait until the next installment, Prince Caspian, comes out. The first movie was really good.

off topic a bit, but did you like Tilt? I thought that was a great mini-series.

Tilt was a decent miniseries that seemed a little too...forced because of the whole poker craze. But alas, I did watch every single episode and enjoyed it.

As for Ender's Game. I have to agree - that would be one amazing movie to see ... granted it follows the book. The entire series would be awesome.

As for Timeline + Sphere, I saw both movies, and though they were both great. I didn't read either of the books though, so I'm not sure if my opinion is valid or not.

Cirque de Freak series. It is about vampires. It is a kids book but I still like to see it become a movie.
