Do you think the Da Vinci Code will be as good as the book?
I personally really liked the book but I cant see the movie really living up to it! |

Hopefully. It's got a great roster. Tom Hanks was a great choice for Robert Langdon, and Jean Reno as the inspector. I can't wait to see how this takes off.
If it doesn't follow the book closely, I'll be VERY dissapointed. I'm sure everyone wants to make sure that the movie reflects the book as close as possible. |

I liked the book too. And I'm preety sure that the movie will be as equally great as the book, I bet it will top the grosses this year. Plus, the actors are superb. Tom Hanks will be at the top of his carrer again by choosing to accept the role. Good luck! |

I can't wait to see the movie either. I read the book and though I didn't necessarily agree with the points of it, though it was a great novel none-the-less.
I hope they also do the prequel, Angels and Demons, which in my opinion, was a lot more action filled and fast paced then Da Vinci Code. |

not interested in it at all - didn't even like the first paragraph of the book, the writing was so bad.

Dan Brown is one of the worst modern writers, I can respect him for his success but his methods are just so childish. Da Vinci code reads like a YA novel with a bit more advanced plot, it's a book that I plowed through just to see that the things I figured out in the beginning happened at the end and I wasn't surprised at all.
The movie will be at least decent, it has a nice ensemble cast and I usually love Howard behind the camera, but will the script ruin it? |

i certainly hope the movie will be as enjoyable as the book. i can't wait for tomorrow, my friends and i are catching it in the big screen!
but as excited as i am with seeing it, i certainly do not want to be disappointed with important details missing or details being incongruent with the book. ive seen that done many times in the harry potter films. |

well, the critics are bashing it - but that means nothing in the long run... the weekend will tell!

i saw the movie already. i like it that the movie was able to give me visualizations of what occurs in the book. but the film ending's deviation from the book? i dont think that was what the book aimed at. the book was open-ended while the movie was not. now i can understand why the catholic church banned the showing of the film in some moviehouses here.
anyway, i thought audrey tautou is really pretty. and tom hanks' hair isnt that bad... he definitely looks older, though ![]() |
