Default Uwe Boll - Evil or Genius?

I really, really can't stand Uwe Boll and his spate of 'movie of the games' - Bloodrayne was passable, but seriously, Far Cry? No way will that translate. Doom the movie was rubbish, and where does he get the idea that Hunter will be any good? Its a rubbish game of an even more rubbish role-play system.

Sorry for the rant. I'm just really starting to wish that people would stop cashing in on existing media and have some ideas of their own for a change.

I think he is evil. He makes a lot of adapted games and he also makes a lot of stinkers. Coincedence? I think not. He should really just give it up...it is getting sad now.

Ha! I love the title of this thread...

Uwe Boll is a major miss... but he is bound to land one some day...

Remember when it was rumored he was directing Halo? X-Box fans everywhere almost shit themselves.

I remember reading that Ewe uses a loophole in German law to get funding for his crappy video game to movie adaptations. Beside from that that little tidbit, His movies are terrible AND they make almost no money at the box office. I would actually like to see him release a movie on the net, for 5.99 from either iTunes or on a Distributor Website and see how well people respond to it. Also, for 5.99, you would get at least a 720p Video and Closed Captioning.

Who is taking over the Halo movie now then? And isn't the Halo movie going to be mostly CGI? Or a computer animated film? I believe I heard Peter Jackson attached to it...correct?

well first off Uwe Boll didnt direct the trainwreck that was Doom, so dont attach that mess to his name. Yea overall the movies suck, but even though they suck people still pay to see his films. I'm hoping that hunter the reckoning turns out good i'd hate to see it end up being one big mess.

I've heard multiple times that he is a hack. Plus his name is Uwe Boll. C'mon. That's strange. So evil.

There are only two ways this clown can continue to get directing gigs. He is either very lucky or has a very good agent. Or make that an agent who can sell ANYTHING.

Or maybe three, he works cheap. Or four, they don't expect the movies he's assigned to be good under any circumstances so who cares who they hire. Or four, they just grind these films on cable TV, PPV and DVD until they make a slim profit.

Either way, this guy will be out of a job sooner or later. It's just a matter of time.

Uwe needs to go away, alright seriously. He needs to go away and just not touch another movie, everything he touches will turn to dried dog turd and I'm barely being blunt about that one.

Anyone see the sequel to House of the Dead? I heard it was worse than the original.
