With the format war still going strong, Sony figured they'd pick up their game with new marketing and some new goodies to give away. Last we checked, PS3 sales were down, so hopefully this will help.
To help prove that the Blu-ray format is the best for hi-definition video, we have been hooked up with a copy of Cars, Superman and Ultraviolet to give away. Now, you need a Blu-ray player (PS3 has one) to watch these films, so don't respond to this thread if any of these copies are just going to end up sitting on your DVD shelf or, worse, a coaster. ![]() ![]() Here's what you need to do to win yourself one of these copies. Respond to this thread with one film that you'd absolutely love to see in the high definition format. Please don't use any of the film's listed. Since we have three items to give away, we will select four winners on Thanksgiving, November 22nd. The first three of the four to send their shipping info get the prizes. Prizes will be chosen at random. Good Luck! flabbybuns |

Yep - I just bought a new 50 inch HDTV and an HD DVD player over the weekend.
Been wanting this TV for along time! Can't really say why I picked the HD DVD player over Blu-ray, but what's done is done. If I had purchased a Blu-Ray player - I would have gotten the Blu-Ray version of Planet Earth. I picked up the HD-DVD of Planet Earth and it is awesome! If Ratatouille were not already out, I would have said that.
It's unfortunate that Transformers or the 'Bourne' series will not be on Blu-Ray because of their deals being with HD-DVD. Though, for Blu-Ray, I would definitely like to see Beowulf on Blu-Ray once it comes around, the 2007 Ray Winstone and Angelina Jolie version. The upcoming Sweeney Todd would look amazing too! I will preorder that. Last edited by djkarthik : 11-20-2007 at 04:56 AM. |

I am really looking forward to the upcoming release of "BLADE RUNNER".
This movie is one of my all time favorite Science Fiction Movies. It was visually stunning when it was released in the 80's and it can only improve on BLU RAY. Movies on BLU RAY that have a lot color, motion and sound really stand out and look great on my 61" TV. |

I would love to see King Kong. The scenery in clarity. And the action of King Kong.

I'd love to see Star Wars Episode 6 in Blue-ray. It's my favorite one of the saga. To see the final battle and all that stuff in detail would be awesome.
