Superman Returns DVD Contest

In anticipation of the release of Superman Returns on November 28th, we have been given two (2) copies of the 2-Disc Special Edition DVD to give away.

The DVD and its cover both look great and the quality is astonishing for any of you owning an HDTV.

What do you have to do? Easy, just post your name below with one sentence on what you expect from the upcoming sequel to Superman Returns. Be it a villain, story, new take on the character, or whatever you like.

That's it!

The contest will end Sunday night or Monday morning so we can have the copies shipped out by Monday evening. So winners have a good chance of receiving the DVD on the day of its release.

My Name is Cory Langner. I would like to see more interaction with the child of superman. In superman returns you see the little kid had some powers, but didn't really understand or fully have them yet. I think the relationship between him and Superman should grow stronger in the next movie and perhaps have a section of the next movie where the villian kidnaps the kid and gets more then he asked for!

I would like to stay UP, UP AND continue to get blown AWAY

with this next sequel!
(1). I believe Superman needs to show more power than he had in the first "Returns". By showing just what happens when he punches someone's ass when he's in a real boxing match. No slowed downed stuff; live time realism and show the badguy getting his ass kicked!
(2). He needs to show better emotions. His facial expressions need to really exemplify his emotions.

Get Angry and bear those teeth like in the comics! Show Us What you're made of. Don't come off looking weak.
Our Superman isn't weak.

He's never beaten. Oh yeah, He may not initially stop you from coming, but he sure as HELL Will Slow your departure! No matter who he is fighting! Superman is someone you don't want to piss off. Savvy?
(3). Show his intellect and intelligience more as well; after all he is a Kryptonian! Show the fortress and his interaction with it to find the answers to his problems(this is the equivalent of Batman's Cave is it not?)through the use of the Crystals if need be. Jor-el wanted him to do this. That's why it's there. Use it!

There are so many versions of Superman out there, so many stories that one sequel would not be enough. Perhaps a sort of Star Wars Trilogy, with each one savoring a piece of the first movie and expanding upon it( the son is a great example I would love to see).

I hope this helps to produce and direct the next movie. If you need more let me know!

I know this is unlikely at best but I think it would be cool if Bizarro made an appearance in the sequal. Furthermore, I would love to win the dvd b/c I tried to win the Chronicles of Narnia dvd a few months ago when you gave that away and I felt like a reject when you had 2 copies to give away and there were only 3 of us that entered the contest and of course I was the one that didn't win. Granted my world did not come crashing to an end, but it would be nice not to be the only loser this time. (I apologize for whining)

Seriously, every movie would be cooler if he were in it.

I would love to see more action. I read a quote where Singer promised to go "Wrath of Khan" on us. I hope this means that it will be as cool as Star Trek II. What made Star Trek II so cool is the STORY and the dynamic between hero & villain. Too many of todays movies rely on special effects to keep the audience interrested. I think they forget that story and characters are the reasons great movies are great.

While Superman Returns was good, I think I really would like to see something totally unique next time around.

My name is Rachel. I would love to see Brainiac or Bizzaro in the sequel. And even though she was only a villian in the Animated Series, I think Livewire would be an awesome opponent.

As far as the story goes I think they should leave more of the Kid out on this one and save him for the third movie. They should really just focus on what wasn't in this movie and add that to the sequel. Now don't get me wrong, as a lady I enjoyed how much of Clark & Lois' relationship they showed, but I still need some action every now & then.

And frankly this movie didn't have enough of it, so when Bryan Singer said he's going all 'Wrath of Khan' on us for the sequel, I was glad to hear it.

We could quite possibly have another X2: X-Men United coming our way. Except it would be a Superman movie!!!

One can only imagine the possibilities.

After seeing Superman Returns I was relieved that whilst still feeling fairly fresh, it didn't stray too far from the original movies. Now that the film has established itself as being successful enough for a sequal, Bryan Singer definately has some extra elbow room to do what he wants with it.

Personally, I wouldn't want the movie to have too much action because then its hard to make things stand out. I'd prefer to have fewer action sequences, with each sequence being that bit more cool or stunning.

In terms of the plot, I think moving Lex to the background, or perhaps incorporating some other villains aswell as Lex would be a good move. As long as there's no Superman 3 madness...
