Don't get me wrong, The Curse of the Black Pearl was very well written, acted and funny but Dead Man's Chest is better than The Curse of the Black Pearl because it had a more complex plot as to why each character wanted the chest for themselves. Jack wanted it so he could rule the sea, Will wanted it so he could stab the heart thereby killing Davy Jones and making good on his promise to save his fathers life, Norrington wanted it so he could regain his honor and once again be named Commodore instead of being a henchman on Jack's ship, and Lord Beckett wanted it so he could have sole control of the sea for himself.

Plus the scenes are outright hilarious when Jack is a shish kebab and tries to attack the natives and when the whole tribe is chasing him down the beach to the ship. I mean, honestly, have you ever seen someone have a funnier running style and yell than Jack in that scene? I didn't think so!

Hi my name is Kiran and I'm new here!!!! So nice to know that CanMag is giving away one of my favorite movies from this summer! In my opinion, Dead MansChest was way better than the Black Pearl because of two reasons: BETTER SPECIAL EFFECTS and MORE ACTION. The fight on the ships was sooooo cool...and DavyJOnes looked absolutely spectacular!!! Soo realistic- it was unbelievable!!!!!

Hello this is Manax2991 and the best pirates movie was the Curse of the Black Pearl - no doubt about it. Sorry all you Dead Man's Chest lovers but the 2nd part was wayyyy to looonggg and waayyyyyyy toooo boring! Pearl had excitement and humor in every scene.

Hey, although the Dead Man's chest is terrifically awesome and I would love to own it on DVD, I am inclined to pronounce that the Curse of the Black Pearl was absolutely magnificant. Manax2991...ur funny dude..maybe ur in the wrong contest man Me on the other hand, would ABSOLUTELY LOVE a copy of Dead Mans Chest because that was my favorite movei of the two. I enjoyed how the characters developed and by the way I loved the fact that DEad mans chest was LONGER because LONGER is BETTER!!! Thanks CanMag for holding this cool contest!
