Default Win a Copy of Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest!

Just in time for the holidays, in anticipation of the DVD release of Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest tomorrow, December 5th, we have been given two (2) copies of the single-disc edition to give away.

Bloody Pirates!

Here's how to play:

Make a post below and tell us which Pirates installment you liked better, Dead Man's Chest or Curse of the Black Pearl.

A reason why will help your chances considerably. Laugh factor as well.

To give us a start, I am just going to say that I missed Geoffrey Rush in the second installment and can't wait to see him return for At Worlds End.

Contest ends Thursday, December 7th.

Good Luck!

Hmm ... this is a tough choice... I'm going to have to go with Dead's Man Chest.

The CGI in Dead's Man Chest was much more impressing than that of Curse of the Black Pearl. The storyline/plot I feel had also improved. The acting was incredible. Can't wait til At Worlds End. =)

Now, where is that monkey, I need to shoot something!

Default Dead Mans Chest

dead mans chest was soooo much better i mean come on.

Dead mans chest was just too funny, curse of the black pearl is nothing in comparison. dead mans chest contains the best line ever, "but why has the rum gone?". that is just a classic line

Default Pirates 2 DVD

It's a tough call but the first Pirates of the Caribbean movie was better; if only because it was the first.

Thumbs up

Well, I for 1 think both films are equally good along the lines of every other BIG, GOOD movie series. BUT, if I had to choose, I'd have to say that I liked the 1st one more than the 2nd.

I only say this though because where as the 2nd one was bigger & better, the 1st one was just simple. It had the same story, characters, action, jokes, & really good lines, but at the same time they weren't trying to make it more than it already was. I mean, the 1st movie was of course based on the ride, but the simplicity of the movie came from that. The story was already there in a sense, they just added a little bit to it.

So, with the 2nd one it was like, what would be better than that & who would be better than him. It was all about what would be better than the 1st movie as opposed to what could we add to it to make it more appealing.

Plus none of the lines from the 2nd movie top the ones in the 1st.

Commodore- "You are without doubt the worst pirate I have ever heard of." Jack Sparrow- "But you have heard of me."

And we can't forget "Me, I'm dishonest... and you can always trust a dishonest man to be dishonest, honestly." -Sparrow

And then there's "Well Well, Jack Sparrow, isn't it?" -Commodore "Cpt. Jack Sparrow if you please Sir." -Jack "Well I don't see your ship, Captain." -Commodore "I'm in the market... as it were." -Jack

Classic. I'm totally geeked now.

Default Dead Man's Chest DVD

Well, For me this is a very easy discussion. Since I still have not seen Dead Man's Chest I find it to be far from memorable and the original Pirates movie stands out by far as my favorite!

When it comes to movies, my wife is limited to romantic comedies and my kids all ran out to see the 2nd Pirates movie with freinds the day it came out (I was working). This left me with no one to see it with, so I'm looking forward to seeing this on DVD!

I'm also looking forward to Keith Richard's having a go as Jack's dad in the 3rd movie even though it sounds like he was in pretty rough shape when his bit was filmed.

Talking Pirates

Dead Man's Chest was better. More action, better effects.

But, as cool as Jack Sparrow is, he still can't touch the original wacky Pirate....

Default Pirates of the Caribbean 2

Dead Man's Chest was a lot better than the first one. Davey Jones was really neat!

Default Hi my name is Ravi Gabble

Hi my name is Ravi, and my favorite Pirates movie was DEFINITELY Dead Man's Chest because Keira Knightley looked so much HOTTER in the 2nd part...she was super sexy in that pirates costume!

Default Dead man's chest

I liked the second one better because of how much detail went in to it and how it improved upon the first story of the first film and how it set up the plot for the next one. Like how they brought boot strap bill into the story and how they brought back Barbosa to help save Sparrow.
