Default Win a Copy of Animaniacs: Volume 2

One of our recently suggested gift items has been the DVD release of Animaniacs: Volume 2. Released on December 5th, Warner Bros was kind enough to give us two (2) copies to give away for the holidays. I have recently gone through the 5-disc set and can easily say that the second volume in the series will be thoroughly entertaining for all ages.

You might actually learn something too.

Animaniacs Volume 2, produced by Steven Spielberg, features an ensemble cast of off-the-wall characters who appear in a wide variety of roles as they continuously escape the water tower and run amuck all over the Warner Bros. lot. Warner Brothers, Yakko and Wakko and their Warner Sister, Dot, parody pop culture with their witty, slapstick humor in this must own DVD set for collectors of classic animation. Animaniacs first aired on Fox. The show then appeared on The WB as part of the “Kids WB” afternoon block.

We have been given two (2) copies to give away. To enter to play, all you must do is respond to this thread with either your favorite skit from Animaniacs or, if you do not know of one, give us one of your favorite after-school animated television shows.

The winners will be announced Friday, December 15th.

Good luck!

Post My favorite cartoon

Let's see... I'm gonna have to go with TMNT... I really just pulled that one out of my arse because I haven't watched any after-school cartoons in a long time.

Now if we were talking about shows from back in the day I would've said X-Men or Spider-man, but since we're not...

I just remembered that even though it's only on once a week & in the evening, not the afternoon, my favorite current cartoon would have to be PPG (that's Powerpuff Girls for the mentally retarded).

No one can touch the PPGs... and Bubbles is sooo funny too.

Default Back in the day...

Well, I'm (carbon) dating my self here, but for me "back in the day" was a time when there were no after school cartoons; just soap operas, Gilligan reruns, Star Trek reruns and Dark Shadows (which I had to sneak to the neighbors house to watch - Mom did not allow Dark Shadows in our house).

All the cartooons were shown on Saturday morning and my all-time favorite was Jonny Quest.

By the way Rogue21, I knew TMNT; but I would have been stumped by PPG; I am familiar with the PowderPuff girls (my niece was a big fan a few years back) but would never have guessed PPG. I'm not necessarily retarded ; just generationally challenged!

Hi everybody. I´m a great fan of the animaniacs from germany. The best shit they even did was to burp beethovens fith symphonie. Me and all of my friends watching the show roll over the floor laughing. But also pinky and brain are absolute highlights in the show. The animaniac parodiy of the lion king had a similar effect on our behavior...we were convulsed with laughter.

Unfortunatly animaniacs aren´t on TV in germany presently :-(

Default Animaniacs

It's been so long since I watched Animaniacs it was hard to remember what I liked best. I'm going to have to say Goodfeathas.

Wheel of Morality and Dot's Poetry Corner. Basically, I liked the core of the show - the Yakko, Wakko, and Dot. I always changed the channel when the singing cat and the dog came on.
