Default Win a Copy of Seven Swords

In anticipation of the release of Seven Swords on January 16th, The Weinstein Company and Genius Products has hooked us up with three (3)copies of the "Ultimate Edition" 2-disc DVD sets to give away.

In the early 1600's, the oppressive Manchurians had taken over sovereignty of China and established the Ching Dynasty. Seven Swords tells the heroic tale of seven master swordsmen who denounce the brutality of the newly formed government and band together to prevent the slaughter of innocent villagers by the evil warlord.

Default 7 Swords

My favorite asian film would have to be the original Godzilla with Raymond Burr. I watched it everytime it came on when I was a Kid.

Default Seven Swords DVD

Dragon - The Bruce Lee Story is my favorite. I know it mostly takes place in America but a lot of it takes place in the East.

Default Gojira: The original Godzilla

I bought a copy of the 2 disc edition of Gojira awhile back. It contains the original Japanese version (titled Gojira) and the very edited US version, Godzilla featuring Raymond Burr in footage that was filmed in the US and re-edited with footage from the original movie.

For anyone who ever watched the US version of Godzilla as a kid, the original Japanese movie is a must see! It is much more than a monster movie and serves as an allegory for the fear left in the hearts of the Japanese following Hiroshima and Nagasaki. It is a very well made film with some truly emotinal moments. And there is a more footage of Godzilla trampling Tokyo than in the US version!

I do apologize, but there is one inaccuracy in this contest.

We have two (2) copies available, not three.

My B.

Default fave asian film

I happen to love asian cinema, but right now the top of the list goes to Battle Royale. Awesome film that helped inspire Quentin Tarantino and hell without it we wouldn't have seen Go Go in kill bill vol1, after that though it goes to a tie between 2ldk and audition followed by versus
