In anticipation of the release of Mr. Brooks, MGM has hooked us up with three (3) autographed posters to give away!
![]() Mr. Brooks stars Kevin Costner, Demi Moore, Dane Cook and William Hurt. The film is due out on June 1st. The contest begins right meow and will end Wednesday, May 2nd. For a chance to win, all you must do is tell us what you consider Costner's best film or Dane Cook's best sketch/performance. Good Luck! flabbybuns |

Of course..... WATERWORLD!!!
![]() Kidding! I'd have to say Field of Dreams. No red-blooded American male can watch that movie and not tear up at the end. Really made you want to go play catch with your dad. Last edited by Apollo Creed : 04-25-2007 at 05:42 PM. |

I have several that I really could call my favorites, but given one choice I would have to say "Dances with Wolves". This film is going to stand up over time...just as Kevin has said about many of his films. He took a chance making it and thank goodness he did. Kevins vision comes to life on screen, inviting us into the Native American world as it had never been seen before. The character development as well as the story development is strong. That being said the visuals are wonderful. The film moved me enough that over the years I have researched the Sioux nation, particularly the Lakotas. The writers of "Dances" did their research as well. The film rings true to so many of the Lakota ways, traditions and their sometimes fierce protection of family.
So bravo Kevin Costner for giving us this wonderful film to enjoy. Valz44 |

Definately "Dances With Wolves". Although he did a good job as the corpse in "The Big Chill". If his next film is called "Generic Viagra" maybe the spammers could win a contest.

Kevin Costner has been one of my favorite actors since The Untouchables, but his best film to date would simply have to be Field of Dreams followed very closely by Dances With Wolves. FOD was a simple film, and I have to agree with one of the earlier posts, it does get to me, especially the ending. I have the original movie posters for both FOD and DWW framed in my living room, and have supported Costner's films for the most part throughout his career. Some I haven't cared for and at times I felt he was picked on by critics and other media, especially during the Waterworld days, but his latest films such as Open Range and The Guardian show that he is quite an actor. It is very unlikely that he will repeat his success that he had with Dances With Wolves, but I would like to see him direct more. Open Range was a very good western and he has a great eye for directing. I am looking forward to Mr. Brooks as well.

Well....let's see.
Hmmmmm, not sure,my favorite one? I'm a fan....and I have to say I've liked them all. I have my reasons, but I'm sure you're not interested in all of them....so I guess I'll say Dragonfly.I think mainly because I've had many experiences with death, both in my personal life and my work. After the death of my husband....I did have something happen to me, an experience that I shared with my sister-in-law. We went to the movies and saw Dragonfly together. She's a fan of Mr. Costner's and of Cathy Bates as well....oh and she just happens to look like her too.I loved every bit of this movie with the exception of the ending. I would have put a Golden Retriever frolicking with that beautiful little girl. I guess I'm just thinking about my Golden....Grovey. I had to put him to sleep today. And if that's not enough....today would have been my husbands 56th birthday. Maybe there will be a Dragonfly moment that will help me get through this one. |

Batter Up...This movie is one of the best movies ever not too mention Kevin's best. It brings out every emotion that you have in your body when you watch this one.
