With the release of 300 on DVD, HD DVD and Blu-ray this July 31st, we have been hooked up with five DVD copies to give away.
![]() Want a copy? Then here are the requirements: 1. Your response (to this thread/contest) has to include your favorite comicbook/graphic novel. Be it the source or a film adaptation. 2. You must have a minimum of 5 posts in the CanMag forum. Hey, this is a cool contest, got to make it somewhat difficult. Seven winners will be announced on July 16th. The first five to respond with their full name and shipping address (to my box) will get the copies. Good Luck! flabbybuns |

I'm first again !
My favorite graphic novel is Batman: The Dark Knight Returns. I've got the original 4 book mini series from back in the 80's. There are some elements of it that have shown up in the Batman movies. |

My favorite Graphic Novel would have to be the grand-daddy of them all to be turned into a movie... Heavy Metal. Rock at it's best with badass simplistic animation and erotic looking women!
oh and I got my 5 posts too!!! Do I make the cut?

Oh my god! My heart stopped when I read this. As I read it, "Xerxes' Tent" from the Tyler Bates' composed 300 soundtrack was building up. What an amazing coincidence. I absolutely loved the film 300. The film is still my #1 film of the year ahead of Waitress, Knocked Up, The Namesake and Zodiac. It was just too amazing. Amazing, amazing. My favorite graphic novel would have to be Frank Miller's "Sin City," as an original source. As for an graphic novel adaptation though, "300" takes the cake. As Richard Roeper said, it is the 'Citizen Kane' of graphic novel adaptations. I can't wait for the DVD release, hopefully I win it here as I'm short on cash. |

i know this answer's gonna be a common one, but my favorite graphic novel is by far the dark knight returns.
i was blown away at how awesome batman was in that book, and he was old. that made it even better. but too bad the dark knight strikes again was horrible. |

OMG!!! I LOOOVE THIS MOVIE!!! It's the best movie of the 2007! My favorite comic movie adaptation is Batman Begins. My favorite comic is BATMAN: KNIGHTFALL which Batman Begins had some elements of that within it. Batman Begins was also most accurate to the comics, and very entertaining and dark; like the comics. I also love Frank Miller's work, like Sin City and 300. I love how when they make his comics on the big screen, they look almost like they did in the comics.

Lately my favorite GNs are the Flight anthologies. They're so damn good.
But all time, I think I'm gonna go with V For Vendetta. I was pretty annoyed by the movie since I hold the book so dear, but oh well. It'll always be incredible as is. |
