When will harry potter series end?

Hey guys, i heard that there are only like 6 books on harry till he graduates so anyone know if they will keep making movie on harry till than or will continue on forever?

No. JK had made it clear earlier that there will be 7 books ( based on the 7 years that Harry spends in Hogwarts). The 7th book will be released in 2007.
Warner bros will probably make films on all of them.
The 5th book is Order of the Phoenix. The 6th one is Half Blood Prince.

Yes, as stated it ends with the seventh book, which is due out in i think the latter portion of 2007. It's a real shame i really do love these books, but not the movies because the books give me a chance to use my imagination.

I doubt she stop at 7, she will for a while, but when she fails in some other venture, she come crawling back...

I dont think she will continue with the main story after book 7 (plus there are rumours that Harry may die in book 7 ).
However, she has said that she may write supplementary books after she finishes that story which will reveal more about the characters and their backgrounds.

Back stories wouldn't be bad, necessarily. Personally, I'd like to see more of Hagrid's life and background. Hagrid rocks.

Wow! Pessimistic much?

It has long been Rowlings intentions to end the series and not let it drag on like a cart pulling a dead horse. I can't say I blame her. One should end on a high note. I'm pretty sure she will write other things but I have a feeling that she'll probably write under a different pen name than the one she has.

JK has already stated that by the end of book 7 we will have all the back story we will need.

She made the Hogwarts school books for charity so I think there is a chance she may do something else along those lines but I think that once the series is finished, it will be finished. I don't think she will want her entire life consumed of Harry Potter, she's going to need to write something else eventually.

I can't imagine what else she would write. That in and of itself could be pretty interesting to see.

I hope she does background for the characters. I would love to know what happened in Snape's life some more. Maybe she can do a series on the adventures of his parents in school
