Default Oz

Did anyone use to watch Oz? When I was fifteen years old, I was utterly addicted. I had an "Oz" shrine on the wall of my bedroom.

wow...wasn't that a bit "mature" for you at that age? I was rather shocked at the graphic images of everything going on there...

it rocked, totally... *shivers*

Yeah, I rewatched it this year and was flinching. But then, I guess I was more though then. I had everything taped and watched them countless times. I'd cover my eyes occasionally, I remember, but I got through most of it.

Oz was a pretty awesome show, and it taught me quite a bit about prison although I don't know if it was reliable information.

I used to watch this show with my dad when it was on HBo. He really loved it and I liked it too but I was a little shocked too by all the killing.

I wasn't that shocked. I knew what I was getting into. The opening credit sequence was pretty graphic and demonstrative of what was to follow post-credits.

How old is this Oz?
You make it sound like its really old, I thought they only made it a few years ago?

I enjoyed it. A bit harsh but very realistic.

The first 3 seasons were great and then it went downhill in its final years.

well... they sort of had to go for more shock value since they wanted to keep the audience. Sad, but it's the truth of all series after a while.

This was one of those rare shows that we would schedule around! We had a routine, we made sure we were home in time for it, unplug the phone and pop some corn, lol.
Yes, it was shocking, and graphic, but that just added to it's appeal if you ask me.
