Thumbs up Soledad – A Haunting Film About Inheriting Evil the Latin America Way

“Soledad Is Gone Forever,” the short feature film directed by San Francisco filmmaker Mabel Valdiviezo, depicts the life of a scarred woman whose family history tells the haunting tale of torture and murder. One has to ask whether Soledad is victimized or possessed after inheriting evil the Latin America way - through political persecution.

A strong competitor for the Sundance Film Festival, and now on the verge of winning the "From Here to Awesome" film competition, Soledad is a compelling must-see film where the lines between victimization and embodiment of evil blur.
