Default Any Word on Star Wars 3D?

I figured that re-releasing all six films to theatres in the 3D format would be the easiest and first choice for Lucas. I am excited about both television series for Star Wars, but seeing the films in 3d just sounds too cool.

It was originally estimated that they would come out in 2007... but now no word.

any info?

Thanks

I haven't heard of the movies being released in 3D.

It sounds awesome though, I am definatly going to wait a year or two before buying a box set of these movies.

Wouldn't work, the space battles would benefit the most, and they are already almost perfect.

I have heard Lucas will re-release the all 6 of the films in 3-D in the theatres and then on DVD then re-release all 6 again in HD-DVD..
not sure of the time frame...

All he seems to care about nowadays is messing with the origional films to make more $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
