Do you guys think Brandon can live up to Reeve's legacy? I personally think he chose a very tough role to fill. No matter how good he is people are still going to hate on him for not being Christopher. A little unfair but that is how it will be.
A lot of people love Reeves for what he did for the franchise and what he had done since until his recent death. It is a shame he won't be around to see the rebirth of this franchise. Anyways post your thoughts on Routh in here! |

For now, we can definitely say the guy matches the look. He is even very tall (said to be 6'2")
If anything, Brandon Routh is one lucky guy to land his first major project on a huge up and coming franchise. flabbybuns |

I don't think anyone will hate him for not being Christopher. I think others will actually encourage him on & love him for doing what others could possibly not do.
It is sad that he is not here with us to see this experience...but he is located at a better place now - heaven. I am sure everything'll go smoothly.G'luck to the new guy! ![]() |

He's one lucky person to have gotten the role of Superman. It's like getting the role of James Bond. But anyway, let's hope that he acts like Superman as we all have known.

I'm willing to give him the chance - after ALL the "Batmen" we've had to endure, this should be a fresh idea.

For many of us Christopher Reeves owned the role of Superman. His portrayal was dead on and that is a tough act to follow.
That being said, the Christopher Revves movies were not without their flaws. Even the epic Superman The Movie (which I loved) was bogged down with a villian who brought more comic relief than actual threat to the screen. So it really depends on the quality of any future Superman movies with Routh, but even then he may only get credit for giving performances that are reminiscent of Reeves rather than carving his own place in the Superman legacy. |

Hmmm
I have to wonder if Phantomzoner even saw the movie. For Brandon's very 1st movie, the guy's got talent! I agree with flabby, he did VERY well. I'm satisfied with the revamp of the franchise. He's in my book. Bring on Superman: Man of Steel !![]() Last edited by Rogue21 : 12-16-2006 at 04:45 PM. |
