Favorite Superman Actor

christopher reeve, dean cain, tom welling, and brandon routh... have i left out anyone? anyway, who is your favorite superman actor among these?

i vote for christopher reeve. very handsome, good acting, and just the right superman physique.

i suppose its too early to decide for brandon routh's superman acting skills to be judged, but the trailer is out already.

Cain, so far is my favorite. And I think you have left out the original superman. I can't remember his name right now.

I vote for the First Superman: Christopher Reeve.. He was simply amazing for the character. The new supermens are ok but not as tough as Reeve.

i did a bit of research, and i found out that George Reeves (who played one of the Tarleton twins in Gone With the Wind) starred in the superman tv show while Kirk Alyn was in the first superman movie. that makes a total of 6 choices.

He wasnt the first Superman. George Reeve played him on TV in the 1950's and there were several other Superman films/serials in the 1940's that features different actors as well

Little late to the thread I know, but I had to post.

Chris Reeve is definately the best Superman, but I also like Tom Welling.

Even though I really liked Superman Returns and thought Brandon was good, I still would've liked to see Tom actually play Superman & not just Clark. I was kinda pissed they didn't wait for Smallville to end before doing more movies.

Unlike Routh, Welling can actually act mad.

But hey, what are ya gonna do?
