Smallville Characters

Just a thought, why would they did not get the character of Superman from Smallville? I think Smallville is the one that relives the popularity of Superman.

I personally would like to see even just the main character of Superman as the Superman from Smallville. But anyway, the film is already finished, I would just watch it and see how it goes.
