The Superboy TV Series of the 80's

I have never seen the 80's TV series "Superboy" as I was overseas in the Military and was wondering if anyone ever saw it and knows why they haven't okayed it for disbursement to the public? Was it just a really bad show or are there other factors like licencing that have to be thought of? I would like to know if it will ever be on the market as most series after the first season are on disk nowadays. So what gives? Any thoughts?
