Smile Hairspray

Is anyone looking forward to this version of Hairspray?

I really liked the 1988 version with Ricki Lake because it was fresh.

Sometimes I think remakes aren't always better, even with a fantastic cast.

I will go to see this, but hope it is as good or better.
I think Travolta & Pfieffer will be the funnest to see.

Hope someone posts their thoughts if they get to pre-screen it.

Thanks.

Talking Hey!!!

Hey!!! This movie looks good...but, I'm probably not going to go see it... I'm focused on seeing FF2, Transformers, and Evan Almighty

Isn't there a point where remakes of remakes of plays of remakes, etc etc is too much? Nonetheless, it may be enjoyable, but come on - what happened to the late 80s / early 90s trend of "RE-RELEASES" of movies?

I'll probably go see it, or catch it on DVD.

BTW, here's a video I found of a candid interview with Nikki Blonsky & Elijah Kelley.
