Mel Gibson is directing another "historical epic" this summer. About the ancient Maya. With the funky/lame title "Apocalypto". A sort of Spanish conquest thing for Disney. I believe this is a classic case of what cartoon characters call "going coo-coo for cocoa puffs".

Well, it could be interesting, the perfect add on to march of Penguins, movies that can be educational are nice, but only in small amounts.

Ah, the March of the Spaniards. Hmm. I like historical pieces, I just hope it's done well, and not preaching anything or adding to our revisionist history.

I'm not so sure I like Mel Gibson as a director especially after "The Passion". Knowing Mel, I'm sure anything in the movie that resembles the true history of the Mayans will be purely coincidental
