Default Punisher War Journal (Punisher 2)

Anyone heard any updates on this film? The script is supposed to be WAY better than the first film.

Plus they are shooting new footage for a DVD release of the original...inserting the prologue that was cut from the script for being too expensive. (It deals with Castle's exploits in Kuwait.)

What do you mean the prologue was cut because it was too expensive? Too expensive to film?
Thats cool that they actually went back to film it then

The script featured an extended prologue set in Kuwait and they didn;t film it when the budget was lowered.

Looks like this movie is being put off. Thomas Jane said the War Journal Script is now rejected and they are looking for a new one. Sigh.

The first one wasn't memorable. All I remember is watching a confused drunk.

The problem was they adapted the book "Welcome Back Frank" which had a tone that it was a parody and they mixed the humorous elements with a dark edge. It didn't work.
