According to certain recent reviews the script for the divici code reads more like a monthy python script than a series drama. Some of the more dramatic moments made the audience at cannes laugh out loud (literally)
Still looking forward to it though Thoguhts? Thanks Dan |

Well, I'm still willing to give it a shot.
I think we're going to try to see it on Sunday. Anyone else have plans to see it this weekend? |

Most of the reviews that I read have not been positive. The consensus seems to be that the story is dull and flat -- utterly killing the quick-paced entertainment value of the book. Ron Howard was also said to fear making his audience "think." So from what I understand, riddles are spoken quickly and once. However, items are illuminated as Tom Hanks' character thinks of them? Eesh. Sounds vaguely idiotic to me.

I obvioulsy still have to see it, but I have read too many reviews bashing it for boredom.
It tries to race to the point of rediculousness. flabbybuns *but we will see what I think later |

I still would like to see this movie.
It is very controversial with regards to religion and its being a fiction. Just can't wait to see so that these review can be justified. |

I saw it today! I can see the points that the reviewers were making, but I tend to be easily captured by movies, and I enjoyed it thoroughly. They did jump from riddle to riddle rather quickly, and I did guess several of the twists well in advance. I guess that although it was not as surprising as it was meant to be, I still found it interesting. (And not too long)

well, the critics are panning it bigtime - the hair scares me, but I think it's just way too long at over two hours...

Hmmm... by the way reviews say it, I think it appears to be a "Yoshiyuki Tomino-ish" movie...
I'm going to watch it and find out for myself.
