I just bought an hd dvd player for my xbox 360 yesterday.

i got it after the $20 price drop (it's $180 now, but i got it at best buy for $150. they messed up the price), and i picked up hot fuzz for it in hd.

i also got king kong (came with it) and it comes with 5 free hd dvd movies (through the mail)

i'm very happy with it. it looks great.

and hot fuzz and shaun of the dead are hd dvd exclusives. that had me sold as soon as i found out.

the other day i was watching harry potter and the sorcerers stone on my 360, and the quality was kinda grainy and it looked older than it actually was.

so when i bought my hd player i put it in, and it looked A LOT better.

even if hd dvd does flop (which i highly doubt either format will), i'll still have my hd movies and i can just upscale my regular dvds.

just read the paramount and dreamworks animation deal, and now i'm VERY VERY VERY happy i bought my hd dvd player.

Transformers is my favorite movie of the year. I know it's not the best, but i had the most fun watching it, and i was expecting it to be on both formats, but now it's HD only =)

so now that's 4 of my favorite movies of all time that are Hd exclusives:
