What are your opinions on Perfect Dark Zero for the Xbox 360? Does it stand up to its predecessor for the Nintendo 64?

I saw the previews at GameSpot and it looked pretty sick.

The film got a review of a 9.0 (Superb) over at GameSpot.

That is a pretty good score, but in other review sites it has been getting mixed reviews though. I'm not so sure it is worth getting an Xbox 360 just for the game.

Its a good game. It is annoying in places, but the graphics are nice, the attention to detail on some of the animations is amazing. The 'cover' system for shooting is nice too - its worth using to full effect on the harder difficulty settings.

I wouldn't buy a 360 just for it, but if I had a 360 already, I would buy it.

Is the multiplayer mode any good? I had a lot of fun with those bots for the N64 Perfect Dark, does this one stand up to it?

I think perfect dark zero is the best game out for the 360 right now. It has amazing graphics, excellent gameplay and multiplayer is insanly fun. The only bad thing about this game is that compared to the original this game has alot fewer weapons. I really miss the good ole' combat knives

Is a disgrace I tel you, that game is not perfect dark, the only resemblance it has to the greatest FPS of all time is the name, it lacks the skill, the grace and the goddamn beauty of its N64 ancestor. THis is because it wasn't even made by the same people, if you are looking for a sequal, look only as far as timesplitters, which was made by the same people
