Default Fable

I didn't think Fable was that great of a game. It did not meet my expectations that the developers were talking about (go anywhere/do anything). The game is very linear and the path seems forced.

Any opinions on this game?

Yeah, that is the problem with a game that can lead your character into two directions. sometimes the story and options have to remain black and white so you are basically configuring your character to whatever path you choose.

However, Knights of the Old Republic had required choices that were not all that obvious on which path the choice would take you.

I also didn't like that you could just switch back and forth between good and evil on a whim. Basically, there are really no permanent changes that will affect your character.

I thought Fable was seriously over-rated - the story wasn't even anything special. If you are looking for a really good RPG on the XBox, try Jade Empire - nice story, and the perfect balance between dialogue and action.

I first played Fable thinking it would be one of the best games ever because my friend had told me so.

I was sorely disappointed by the end. It is not as fun as he claimed and not nearly as good. I would have much rather spent my time playing a sports game or Halo.

It was an OK game, probably one I will never play again.

I think it was overrated, I didn't like how you could just change your alignment all of a sudden. It really isn't worth playing again, since you can just max out all your skills at the end of the game.

I think...approximately two years ago, everybody was into that game. My friends were buying it to see how good it was and they really thought it was amazing. They said that you could pick a good or bad character and so on. It does sound interesting but I've never tried that game before.

I have fable on the PC, and it's not bad but I was expecting more to be honest...
It can be a little too easy to play in parts.

The game is pretty easy most of the time (even the bosses), which is disappointing, since I though there would be a real difficult boss coming up, but there wasn't.

Supposedly on the PC version, it can be completed between 8 - 11 hours - which is pretty poor in my opinion. But theres a new addon part for the PC which gives about 4 more hours of play, which isn't too bad
