In
one of our older articles we mentioned that the game Half-Life
2 to be our number one most anticipated game of this year. And, as
time continues, we remain confident that this game will re-invent the
first person shooter. However, like most highly anticipated games, this
game has recieved delay after delay and now the people over at Valve are
not even trying to predict when the game will be released [the game's
release date is now TBA- To Be Announced].
Those of you who have heard the news of Gabe Newell posting in the forums
that Half Life 2 was set for shipping were rudely disappointed on the
discovery that it was all a hoax from an individual who hacked Gabe's
forum account.
We
So Anxious
Even
though we do not yet have a definate release date for Half
Life 2, we can offer a prediction on when the game will ship. The
software company Chips
& Bits seems pretty confident that the game will be released some
time this September. However, other game retailers are aiming more at
the month of November. Let's pray sooner than later.
The game will also come with Counter Strike pre-installed, allowing gamers to head online
immediately after purchase.
