Talk about a way to end a slow Thursday. I just
found out that GameSpot is hosting a new game play video for the upcoming
Electronic Arts [EA Games] game called The Lord of the Rings, The Battle
for Middle-Earth. Even though the site does already have a lot of interviews
allowing most of the game to be seen, this video adds a little more.
Tour the Entire Middle Earth in Latest Video
This latest video, which came out on October 21st and is just over three
minutes in length, shows every playable map to the user. Well, not exactly
'every' playable map but every playable environment. As you will encounter
armies on various parts of the Middle-Earth map, each location could be
slightly different. However, if you are within a certain radius of a specific
area [lets say Fangorn], the map's environment will be pretty similar within
those parts, no matter where you meet your enemy...within those parts. See
what I mean?
Anyway, the only thing this film does not do is show us more usage of the
Middle-Earth map. From this viewpoint, you will be able to control your
armies and send others [aid] to help draw support. Pretty sweet and a nice
addition to this already impressive RTS [real time strategy] game.
