A large disappointment is found in the extremely limited release of The
Machinist.
I have become slightly disappointed with the limited
release of The Machinist starring Christian Bale. I was hoping
to have a review for the film up by this last Friday but was unable to do
so as the film might as well not have been released at all [in the States].
No Machinist Anywhere
I do not know about the success others are having on seeing the film, but
I do not have The Machinist, a film by Brad Anderson, playing anywhere
even within a reasonable distance of my location. It seems that Filmax International
and Paramount Classics seems to think limited release truly means limited
in every regard. As a matter of fact, I think that The Machinist
is only playing in three theatres total through out the United States. Is
this possible?
I guess I am just going to have to wait for one of the smaller theatres
to pick up the film at a later time or even wait longer for the films release
to DVD. What a heavy disappointment for such a well-rated film.
