Geoffrey Rush was amazing in Pirate's of the Caribbean. It would be worth
having him back for the sequels.
It looks like Geoffrey Rush will be returning with
the rest of the cast for Disney's sequel, Pirate's of the Caribbean
2. How could this be?
Geoffrey Rush in Disney's Next Pirate's
Considering that Geoffrey Rush played Captain Barbossa and was killed at
the end of Pirate's by Jack Sparrow [Johnny Depp], I am trying
to figure out ways that they can resurrect Rush's return. Is he a ghost,
is he a vision, is he a memory, or maybe he will just come back as the twin
brother of Captain Barbossa. Not too shabby.
It was first guessed whether or not Rush would in fact be coming back to
play in Pirate's of the Caribbean 2. However, the latest news at
MovieHole.Net states that Rush will have to leave the film Eucalyptus
due to his previous arrangements for shooting under Disney. These are no
simple shoot-over-a-month arrangements either. Gore Verbinski, the director
of the original Pirate's, will be shooting a second and third sequel
to the film back to back [ALA Matrix and LOTR].
So what's new for our pirate adventurers? Nobody truly knows yet but it
has been hinted that the story may actually leave the Caribbean and head
over to the Far East or Thailand.
Each sequel will also be its own adventure with an ending. However, the
main job of the pre-production crew is to attain the entire cast from the
original Pirate's.
Pirate's of the Caribbean 2 should be released some time in 2006.
