Burns will be huge in the theatres.
Entertainment Weekly, on set of the 16th season
of everybodies favorite yellow family, The Simpsons, discusses
the possibility of a Simpsons movie.
The Simpsons are Coming to the Big Screen
After a discussion with Al Jean, Simpsons executive producer, it
seems that there is a definate possibility of the television show getting
preped for a screenplay. Jean claims that there are writers currently working
on a Simpsons feature film with the hopeful release date of 2008.
There are also a number of plot ideas that are in consideration for the
film.
But why 2008? Doesn't that seem to be a little far out for this type of
animation? Al Jean claims that the time is necessary as he says, "There
are a couple things on the show that I steered away from what might be in
the movie. The biggest thing is you don't want to do a movie that's not
reflective of the quality of the show, and you don't want the quality of
the show to slip because you're doing the movie. So we're taking a little
time."
