Bruckheimer at work.
The good people over at LatinoReview have posted
a small cover story concerning Jerry Bruckheimer, and his goals to make
two sequels for The Pirates of the Caribbean at the same time.
LatinoReview Discusses Casting for Pirates Sequels
In the interview, Bruckheimer does admit that he may actually be trying
to get Keith Richards to play as Captain Sparow's [Johnny Depp] father.
How funny would that be, considering the fact that most say the part reminded
them of Richards. A great perk to an already cool cast, Bruckheimer has
been able to assure that he will be getting Depp, Bloom, Geoffrey
Rush [confirmed by Rush; for now], and probably Knightly as well.
They also mention that the only movie to find success with filming sequels
back-to-back is The Lord of the Rings. Both Back to the Future
and The Matrix series witnessed diminishing returns from their
sequels.
