How cool is that costume!
Enough said, Halo 2 is HUGE for Microsoft,
and the whole entertainment field for that matter. With pre-orders bringing
revenues of eighty million, and the opening day revenue of one hundred million,
it seems that there is no stopping the gaming industry.
Halo 2 Has An Opening Day Totaling Approximately 100 Mil
Ah, how happy are both Microsoft and Bungie right now? This is the LARGEST
release of any type of entertainment media. The revenue numbers for
Halo 2 have taken the record for biggest first day among video games
and movies alike. Reuters claims that Halo 2 had a record breaking
8,500 units sold within the first 11 minutes of the day.
People, especially those out in New York, were standing in the streets hours
before electronic stores were willing to re-open their doors at midnight
just for Halo 2 sales. MTV did a report that shows huge crowds that look
like they are about to riot if they do not get their next 'game of the year.'
To see what I mean about the hysteria behind Halo 2, head over
to the MTV report by CLICKING
HERE. The report has a pretty humorous video clip showing the energy
of the fans awaiting Halo 2's release. That Master Chief outfit
is SICK by the way!! To bad Halloween just passed.
My Own Quick Thoughts on Halo 2

You can order Halo 2 from Amazon by clicking on the image.
You are not going to believe this but I was able to rent the game on the
opening day release of Halo 2. There was actually a bunch of copies
available at Blockbuster. Did somebody forget about this resource and pass
it up, or do people know that Halo 2 is one of those games that is so worth
the purchase? Well, the game definitely has a lot of features going for
it. The graphics are spiced up a bit with more details added to characters,
enemies, and vehicles. The maps are much larger, causing myself to sometimes
get lost, and the enemies are much tougher. However, besides some updates,
I do not see Halo 2 as the next stage in gaming. It reminded me
a lot of Halo, almost as if it was an expansion pack instead of
a new game. Not that I can complain about the game itself, considering it
is coming from one of the best console games ever made. On the other hand,
I have yet to try my hand at online play, which a ton more emphasis went
into this time, and am planning on experiencing that tomorrow.
I am sure some of you are asking why I didn't purchase Halo 2.
Well, this is one of those games that I will allow to be on my Christmas
list and can wait for. I have the rental for a week and that should suffice.
Besides, Half-Life 2 comes out next week and that is the game I
have truly been waiting for. I will be purchasing this game straight off
the shelves on the day of release. If I were to have Halo 2 and
Half-Life 2 right now, there would be no more Can
Magazine. |
