ABC Should NOT Apologize for Desperate Promo

Terrell Owens participates in what should have been a harmless plug.
About the Desperate Housewives plug during a football game; ABC should NOT apologize. I know people like to say that watching an intense [some would call violent] sport with the kids is the best family night they can think of, well maybe the kids can handle a little back [literally] too. Who is handling the promo worse, the kids or the adults?

ABC Should Tell Viewers to Grow-Up on Desperate Promo

Imagine this, a father is watching a football game with his young ones. Without much warning, there is a promo on the screen for Desperate Housewives, a highly popular ABC television series. The scene begins with Terrell Owens being confronted by Nicollette Sheridan who is only in a bath towel. Now, in blinding speed, Nicollette Sheridan had her towel off before viewers even knew to change the channel [sarcasm]. First, yes, there was a female in a bath towel conveying that she could be naked underneath... whooooaa. People didn't consider maybe changing the channel at this point in the broadcast? But, no, a lot of 'innocent' eyes saw a woman who dropped her bath towel; I can only imagine the children being scarred for life [sarcasm].

Nicollette Sheridan's Back was Naked!

Man, when that towel dropped, Nicollette Sheridan showed it all.. right? No, we saw a woman's bare back. I did not know a bare back was considered indecent. Might as well have ABC apologize for LOST too then. Tons of bare back all over that show; I even saw the 'fronts' of some of the males on the show; the fronts [sarcasm]! I can't imagine what some of the people, who complained, were thinking. They see the 'bare back' and think, "Oh man, now my kids no women have backs too!! How am I going to explain this!" Come on, I know ABC has to be careful because they have a huge viewership; therefore they feel they have to apologize. Well, lucky [not so lucky] for me, my viewership isn't even a margin of that, so I'll say what ABC wished it could say.

To all of those that complained and demanded an apology for the promo, you got to be kidding yourselves. You have a remote; you could have changed the channel when the promo started. You can show your kids some violence any day of the week but when a minor iconography of sex [a back?] appears on the screen, you can't even handle it. Who are the real children here?

To avoid future issues with any network, you might as well throw out your televisions, DVD players, and computers to boot. Or maybe you should learn how to talk to your kids; kids that seem to understand football.

In conclusion, I feel bad for Nicollette Sheridan and Terrell Owens who have to face the complaints of the promo. They considered, if anything, the promo humorous and equally based towards the male gender that watches football. I guess they also expected I higher amount of maturity from viewers as well.
