Wiseman and Beckinsale
First, some cool news, there may be a Wolverine
spin-off from X-Men. Considering that Wolverine has been the main
source of attention in the last two films, this comes as no surprise to
me. I actually thought the title of the first X-Men should have
been Wolverine. Now, some 'interesting' news, it seems like the
first person up in the running for directing Wolverine is Kate
Beckinsale's hubby, Len Wiseman.
Len Wiseman to take Wolverine Movie?
Len Wiseman was the director behind Underworld, it is actually
the only film in his blockbuster portfolio. So, if you have seen Underworld,
you can now decide if you want Wiseman taking the reigns on Wolverine.
I thought the film was so-so, but it could have been much cooler considering
it was based on werewolves and vampires. If you are wondering how Wiseman
even got considered for the gig, there is one plausible explanation. Hugh
Jackman and Kate Beckinsale co-starred in Van Helsing, and Beckinsale is
wife to Len Wiseman. Wiseman meets Jackman, two hit it off and Jackman takes
care of introductions for Wolverine.
Well, it is probably unlikely that Wiseman will be able to direct Wolverine,
as he is currently involved with the sequel to Underworld.
