Do you remember the first ever glimpse of Lord
of the Rings? The first clip released was about a six-minute promotion/trailer
that showed Jackson discussing his project, as well as some little scenes
that did not require models or CGI. In the trailer, Jackson talks about
the entire Lord of the Rings saga and how he will be doing all of the books.
He finishes the trailer by stating 'this is the time.' This trailer came
out about a year to a year and a half before the first LOTR film
came out. Well, WETA is at it again, and has again done a promotional trailer
such as this. The film this time around is The Chronicles of Narnia:
The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe.
The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe
Trailer
In the promotional trailer, you can see a lot of the same players from LOTR,
especially since WETA, not ILM, is involved. You can also feel some elements
of LOTR involved in the creation of Naria. I'm not saying
they are copying LOTR, considering the book is just as old, but
they definately know a formula.
Besides the header image that is posted above, Disney has released some concept art to help people get a feel of the imagery to expect from the film. While this is only the first of
many, you probably could expect more to come.
