There are going to be some changes here.
The Can Magazine Moves Up to Version 3.0
There will actually be only one addition to the site with Version 3.0, the
BLOG pages [two separate subjects as of now]. The major changes will occur
to the Front Page of the site and how it indexes news articles. First, expect
a lot of departments to be removed or changed. Departments that will be
removed permanently from the front page include: Business, Health,
Politics, Science, and Sex & Dating. Since
these departments are relatively small, all of the articles for these subjects
will now be posted under Etcetera.
The Entertainment department will also be removed, as it is being
split into three smaller departments. Instead of Entertainment,
the site will now offer Movie / Film, Television, and
Gaming. Any articles that deal with entertainment but do not necessarily
fit in any of these three categories, will be placed under Movie / Film.
Advertising System
As stated in our Can Update article, our advertising
system will now allow advertisements to carry over issue to issue. The
Can Magazine now sells advertising in increments of CPM. For more
information, read the article or go to our Advertising
Page. Because of this update, CanMag.Com issues will go from lasting
a month and a half up to four months.
The Blog
We will now be offering two BLOG pages that allow for users to communicate
with us easier, as well as communicate with one another. There are currently
two topics under development. The first topic is General Discussion,
where you can discuss opinions and articles with each other and the site.
The second subject is Scoops, go here to post any information or
scoops that you think we should know. If we look into your scoop, and create
an article based off of it, you will get special thanks within the article
from The Can Magazine. The Scoops BLOG will later
have an awards system as a type of kickback to our supporters.
Version 3.0 should be fully implemented within the next week. |
