With the first season of LOST coming to
DVD on September 6th, and a teaser trailer
already online, I guess ABC thought it was time to speak up and remind television
viewers that both LOST and Desperate Housewives will be
back with tons of twists for their second seasons. If you were able to catch
the finally, you will remember that the group of castaways were able to
blow the hatch and the episode ends with you looking at a ladder that goes
down forever. I was going to say that this ladder leads straight to hell
so that it fits with my LOST theory,
but I cannot say for sure.
Therefore, it is a good thing that ABC Entertainment President Stephen McPherson
has something to say on it.
LOST Talk
Reuters
reports McPherson discussing LOST and one of the larger questions
on the fans minds-- what the hell is in that hatch? Why shouldn't we have
opened it? What was the boy so afraid of? While McPherson doesn't give any
critical details, he did have this to say:
"'Lost' has really spurred this idea of a big idea," McPherson said.
McPherson said that on this season's premiere of "Lost" in September, viewers and the show's cast of plane crash survivors will discover what lies inside "the hatch" -- a mysterious portal on the fictional island where they are marooned.
LINGERING MYSTERIES
Near the end of the show's first season, the castaways blew open the hatch to find a ladder leading down a dark hole. "You will find out what's in the hatch, and it's not something like, 'Oh, look, there's another ladder,"' McPherson said.
