LOST is easily one of the most unique
and interesting television series out today. A story about the survivors
from Oceanic Airlines Flight 815, LOST invokes every element of
suspense, mystery, puzzle solving, mythology, religion and twists to no
end. LOST has had such an effect, that there is now entire internet
communities dedicated to figuring out LOST's secrets. Some time
ago I took a shot at it and came up with a theory that the crew were stuck
in Purgatory [had a discussion of Purgatory during a visit to church and
it clicked]. All of these characters seem to want to be good people, but
all [the main characters] have skeletons in their closet that they are just
not passed yet. It's a great theory, and you can read it here.
LOST DVD Launch
Buena Vista Home Entertainment held the DVD launch
party for LOST: The Complete First Season and ComingSoon
was able to get the cast of the show to state their feelings on the current
theories floating around. Though most have only repeated what they already
told EW, it is still humorous to know that the cast of the show hate the
'Purgatory theory'.
But don't be tricked, they only 'hate' the theory; they can't claim that
it isn't true. By having the story take place in Purgatory, ABC has given
itself endless possibilities for the show. Just look at the title of the
show-- LOST. It is said that when somebody ends up in Purgatory,
they are stated to be 'LOST in Purgatory.' Coincidence? I think not!
