Terminator
Though Terminator 3 opened the door for installments up to Terminator 100 and more, it will be another medium that continues the story of not just the sometimes-friendly robots but Sarah Connor as well.
Warner Bros TV Pilots The Sarah Connor Chronicles
According to Variety, Warner Bros TV is working on a pilot for The Sarah Connor Chronicles with the help of director David Nutter.
To get further expertise behind the project, Warner Bros TV has also picked up Any Vajna and Mario Kassar to produce the series; both of whom were behind the latest Terminator installment.
Nutter -- who directed the pilots of successes such as Smallville, Without a Trace and Supernatural -- has a connection with original Terminator director James Cameron, having directed the pilot for Cameron's Fox skein Dark Angel.
"It's important for me to live up, as best I can, to the bar that Jim Cameron set," Nutter told Daily Variety. How he plans to do this on a TV budget is yet to be known.
In order to follow through with his promise, Nutter announced that he would not do any other pilot this season in order to concentrate on The Sarah Connor Chronicles.
"This is a huge project that's going to take an extensive amount of preparation and pre-production," he said, adding he wants to protect "the integrity of what Cameron created."
Casting on the project will begin immediately, with filming expected to commence early next year.
