Survivor Cook Islands Rundown #9
At Raro Jonathan is calling himself a “wandering Jew without a tribe”. He regrets leaving Aitu, but is proud of his tree climbing and fishing abilities. Adam tells Candice “You and I are going to the end”. Jenny is getting worried about Candice and how her presence will affect the game.
Ozzy is sharing he is worried that Aitu is down 3 people. But they have been kicking ass as a tribe of 4 so far.
Tree mail comes with nautical code flags to memorize for the reward challenge. When the tribes arrive for the challenge, Jeff tells Aitu Brad is now a member of the jury. They are blown away. For the challenge the tribes must use a compass with coordinates to dig up chests. After all five chests are retrieved they are opened and the coded flags contained inside will be used to spell VICTORY.
Adam is cute but challenges are not his strong suit. Once again Aitu is first to get all four chests and decode the flags. Aitu wins reward and more importantly their third challenge in a row since becoming a tribe of four. I told you they may never lose another challenge. They immediately send Candice to Exile Island. Payback is a b….
For their reward Aitu is taken by plane to an island feast. They are met by natives and carried on litters. It is a ‘warriors welcome’. They are eating and drinking and having an amazing time. This is a tribe who has bonded and works together well. There are two large native women who get Yul up to dance and put him between the two of them – a Yul sandwich.
Raro is dejected. Jonathan says the tribe is not more successful because they don’t work together. On a whole the tribe also thinks Rebecca doesn’t pull her weight in the challenges, so her days are numbered. When tree mail arrives for the immunity challenge it is a map of the islands. Jenny is helping Rebecca memorize the map.
Raro is trying to guess what’s in the bottle. The tribe consensus is Rebecca is the least productive in camp and in the challenges so she should go. Nate feels Jonathan should be the one to go since he is a traitor and Nate feels an allegiance to Rebecca as one of his original tribe members.
At tribal council Jeff asks them if they realize that all told they have only won 3 challenges. That is really terrible. Adam says tonight’s vote can solely be about productivity. They are tired of losing. Look in the mirror dude; you haven’t been that great at the challenges. As expected, Rebecca is voted off the island. Now for the shocking twist. Jeff asks them to open the bottle. The note in the bottle says “You just voted out one member, now you must vote out another.” Oh my – if they would have won immunity, Aitu would now be down to 2 members. What can you do? They vote out Jenny. Jeff tries to impress upon them “Maybe this is the wake up call this tribe needs to get it together.” Well it’s that or there will be none of them left.
Will Jonathan finally make too many enemies complaining about the young ones? Will Yul blow his almost perfectly played game by telling too many people about the idol? Will Adam and Candice’s ‘showmance’ ruin their game? These and the ever present will there be a merge question will be answered as our survivors try to Outwit – Outplay – Outlast.
