It is the week we’ve all been waiting for, with a gotcha thrown in.

At Raro, Jonathan is fishing. Holding himself in the provider role is important to keep him in the game. Upon arriving back to camp he is upset to see there is no fire or water. He has had it with the ‘youngins’.

Yul is not feeling well. Becky is not sure how much longer Aitu can survive as the underdogs. But they know no one can get comfortable.

Both tribes go to the beach for what they believe will be a reward challenge. Jeff introduces Raro; without Rebecca and Jenny. Aitu is shocked to learn there are two survivors gone. And now for the news everyone has waited to hear. The merge is here! The survivors are given new buffs and are told to choose which beach to live on and choose a new tribe name. They pick Raro beach for its amenities. The new tribe name will be Aitutonga. Our hunky Jeff says “I like it.” A catamaran picks up our survivors to take them to Raro beach. The boat is stocked with food and drink. Adam eats till he pukes and Nate wants to get ‘faded’. Jonathan doesn’t understand how the ‘youngins’ think.



At camp, Ozzy and Nate are working on strategy. Adam is flirting and snuggling with Parvati. Yul approaches Jonathan about siding with the four former Aitu. Yul says what if he ‘hypothetically’ has the idol? There’s something to think about. Jonathan says he needs to see the idol to believe it. Yul tells Sundra and Ozzy he has the idol and thinks they will make the final four. Candice and Parvati want Yul gone.

Now it is time for the first challenge for individual immunity. A ‘unisex necklace’ as Jeff reports goes to the winner. The challenge is to hang on to a pole for as long as possible. The last survivor clinging to their pole wins individual immunity. This is a challenge that is difficult for the bigger guys. Adam, Jonathan and Nate are the first ones out. The last two left are Candice and Ozzy. At 2 hours and 15 minutes Candice could hold on no longer and Ozzy wins immunity. Jungle boy at it again.

The former Raro is planning to vote for Yul. He shows the idol to Jonathan and says he wants to go to the final 2 with him. The ‘showmance’ is in full force as Adam and Candice are sucking face. Jonathan is campaigning with the former Aitu to vote for Nate. He feels he owes Adam, but either way he’ll be a bastard (his words not mine) whoever he sides with. This will be the pivotal moment for the former Aitu. The former Raro tribe votes for Yul, less the Benedict Arnold Jonathan, who votes with the former Aitu. Nate, in a shocking result, is voted out 5 to 4.

Will Yul and his alliance now be able to pick off the former Raro one by one? Will Jonathan be treated like the rat he is? Will we see another twist to change up the outcome of a game that seems to be all Yul? Our 8 remaining survivors will try to Outwit-Outplay-Outlast.
