When I first got my 56" JVC HDTV, I was looking forward to watching Lost on it most of all. I was a little disappointed to see it wasn't all that. I've been to Hawaii, and seen the colors. This was just like a photo from someone's vacation.

Something must have happened because now it looks glorious. The characters shine under different lighting, glistening sweat in the sun and crisp, sharp stubble under the jungle shade.
Yes, under the shade, the colors are slightly tame, but when they come to a clearing, beams of light turn the brush into Discovery Channel footage. And this is with a 720p set. There must be even more detail on the higher end models.
