Answer: Take the most hated person with you to the finale. Question: How to win Survivor? Duh - I am deeply disappointed in our survivors.
Survivor Cook Islands Rundown #12
On the way back from tribal council Yul tells Jonathan, “That was ugly”. Jonathan replies being called every name in the book is not going to let his game be changed. Maybe you should rethink that dude. They ALL hate you.
The following morning, Parvati is whacking a coconut with her machete and practically amputates her thumb. Shades of Lorena Bobbit. The survivor medical team comes to check her out. She does require stitches. They bandage her up and say not to get it too wet. We’re on a tropical island here and most of the challenges involve water. It rains. But don’t get it too wet.
The reward challenge is for a trip to an island cave and a picnic. Plus you will be able to send one survivor to Exile Island. Lucky for Candice she is back at the hotel eating and showering. The twist is each survivor has a family member that will share in the reward and participate in the challenge. They must use a small bucket to throw water into a larger bucket that will raise a flag. The survivors are blindfolded to get the water in the small bucket. They then toss the water into the larger bucket guided by the verbal direction of their family member. As the tossing begins, much of the water ends up on the loved ones not in the buckets. Jonathan’s wife Stacy is trying so hard to win the challenge she is wringing out her shirt and hair into the bucket. Much to everyone’s surprise, Parvati wins the challenge - bum thumb and all. Her family member, her Dad, must choose two other survivors to take with them without conferring with Parvati. He chooses Adam and Sundra. They too will get to take their family members along. Let’s see who will she send to Exile Island? See ‘ya Jonathan.
Back at camp Ozzy expresses his resentment of Parvati and Adam doing so well in the challenges because of the food he provides them. They decide they are going to hide the food so they won’t be so strong in the challenges. They start chucking the coconuts into the jungle. How dumb. Becky, Yul and Ozzy are waxing upon how great it was to have this day together and this is how the final couple of days will be. That is, unless you screw up.
The native women and children are singing and dancing while they lead our survivors into the cave. There is fresh water in the cave. They anoint the water then jump in women first. The picnic consists of fried chicken, meatloaf, corn on the cob and biscuits. In an aside Sundra tells us Adam and Parvati are so much nicer and more chilled without Jonathan around.
Upon their return to camp, Adam, Parvati and Sundra bring leftover food back to the others. Now they feel bad about hiding the food and rethink their plan. Everyone looks like one happy family. Jonathan is on Exile Island.
The immunity challenge is an obstacle course in water. The survivors must go out twice, get bundles of sticks to bring back to shore and tie together into a pole. With the pole they retrieve two rings. The first survivor to have both rings wins immunity. The course is difficult and really seems to favor the guys. A longer stride helps crossing the floats and barrels. Ozzy is back to his champion challenge self as he wins immunity. Jeff asks if anyone is overly concerned about tonight’s tribal council by not winning immunity. Parvati and Adam raise their hand. Wake up Jonathan!
Yul laments feeling like “The Godfather” having to put a hit on someone and doesn’t like this position at all. Yul, you should stick to your game plan. Adam wants Jonathan gone because “he just doesn’t deserve to win”. Yeah, that and it keeps him in the game.
At tribal council, when they bring in the jurors, we see Candice looking hot in a black tube top. Adam smiles and licks his lips. You can’t be more obvious. Jeff asks Parvati which was better at the reward being with family or the food. Parvati didn’t miss a beat and replied family. Jonathan feels a debt is owed to him for saving the former Aitu 4. They all vote Jonathan off the island. Jeff’s comment is this tribal council was telling in that they voted out someone who thought they could trust you. Now trust must be an issue for everyone in the game. My comment is you idiots! Who better to take to the finals with you than someone everyone on the jury hates and would never in this lifetime vote to give them a million dollars. Stupid, stupid, stupid.
Will the Aitu 4 regret not voting off a strong physical competitor in Adam while they had the chance? Will the former Aitu alliance remain intact? Can Parvati and Adam work some magic to keep themselves in the game? And then there were six. Who will ultimately Outwit – Outplay – Outlast and be sole survivor?
