Heroes Heroes

TV Guide's very own Michael Ausiello has recently gone on a tear and answered a few more questions for the return of Heroes. Well, both questions do relate to information provided before the holiday break, but still mucho important for the future of the show.

Heroes Questions: Gay Dinosaurs

TV Guide has answered/analyzed two of the latest questions pertaining to Heroes. Let's take a look at each of them, shall we?

De-Gaying Zach

You know Claire's buddy who enjoys videotaping her while she attempts to hurt herself? Well, many of us had wondered why he didn't videotape, well, other things and one of the early episodes responded by hinting that Zach was gay. The gay plot was supposed to stick, but Thomas Dekker and manager turned homophobic and figured Claire was way too hot to play the gay friend. Besides, Dekker is a Connor, he can't play gay.

Thomas Dekker, the upcoming star of The Sarah Connor Chronicles) was supposed to come out in the "Homecoming" episode, but, according to a statement posted on afterelton.com by series creator Tim Kring, he was forced back into the closet after it became "too complicated behind the scenes to push this issue further with this particular character." Translation: Someone objected to the plot.

Since being gay is out, all NBC has to do is act like Zach took the gay route to get close to Claire. I can't blame him, the pickup move has been proven many times (wink). Now let's use that camera for some, well, never mind.

Hiro vs Dinosaur

When we were shown a painting of Hiro taking on a T-Rex with only his Samurai Sword, we figured that the show would have the character accidentally time travel way too far back, and we'd hear about the story later on. Not so says Masi Oka, who claims that watching Hiro fight a dinosaur is at least a possibility.

I'd want to read minds like Greg Grunberg does, that way I'd know if Masi Oka was pulling my leg when he told me last week that we "will see Hiro fighting a T-Rex" — hence the painting in the fall finale. "Don't forget," he added, "I [have a part-time job at] Industrial Light and Magic. You never know when I'll whip out a CGI dinosaur."

Either way, it was a brilliant moment to watch Hiro admit that he needs to find that sword.

Heroes airs at 9PM on Monday nights on NBC. The show is currently on holiday.

Stay tuned for updates.
