Wars: Episode III last summer's The Man, workaholic
Samuel L. Jackson has just been tapped my Spike TV to emcee the 2005 Video
Game Awards, spokesman Casey Patterson announced on Tuesday. "We're thrilled
to have him hosting this year's show," Patterson explained at a press conference.
Patterson also promised "more stars, more rock, and more games than ever
before."

The Video Game Awards honor the past years gaming
industry and will provide musical entertainment during the broadcast (performers
to be announced). The show is scheduled to air in mid December after being
taped on November 18 and will include appearances by Vin Diesel, band Red
Hot Chilli Peppers, and Ozzy Osbourne. Jackson won an award in 2004 for
his voice in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.
